4. Snakes have no legs. How do they move on land?

Ans: Snakes are reptiles in nature and they don't have have any legs, yet they can move very fast .
Snakes have many scales on the underside of the body which enable them to move .
The scale As it moves forward or backward push the snake against the ground and help to propel 

Thus scales help the snake to grip on the ground and move it's body very fast.
Snake can move easily on rough ground but finds it difficult to crawl on smooth surface. Snake can also swim in the water.
